Here's exactly what happens after you sign up — and what we handle so you don't have to.
You pay the $64 admin fee & fill our short form
Pay the flat $64 admin fee and complete our 5-minute intake form — legal name, contact info, address, availability, and a couple of eligibility questions. The $64 is what Solidium charges; training, fingerprints and the state fee are billed separately by those providers.
We book your 8-hour training class
New York State requires an 8-hour pre-assignment training course. We coordinate with Guardian Group Services (or another approved provider near you) on a date that works for your schedule and book your seat. You pay their $70 course fee directly to them.
We schedule your IdentoGO fingerprints
Fingerprinting is a NYS requirement. IdentoGO (IDEMIA) is the State-authorized vendor. We handle the enrollment details — including the correct security-guard service code — and book the location closest to you. You pay IdentoGO's $104 fee directly at booking.
We prepare and submit your application paperwork
Once your training is complete and your prints are on file, we prepare your NYS Department of State application packet and walk you through mailing it in with a $36 money order made out to the state. You'll be notified when your license is issued.
